Millions of people suffering from rare diseases, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, neurological disorders, immune diseases, and other serious conditions still do not receive clear answers about the underlying causes of their disease.

Without understanding these causes, many patients continue to face:

  • Limited or ineffective treatment options

Genome sequencing has created a new opportunity to understand disease at its deepest biological level. However, current genomic analysis still examines only a small portion of human DNA, leaving many potentially important disease-causing changes undiscovered.

Whole Genome Sciences (WGS) was established to explore the largely overlooked non-coding genome — regions that regulate how genes function and may contain important missing answers for human disease.

By applying large-scale computational genomic analysis to real patient datasets, WGS seeks to identify previously undetected genetic causes of disease and advance understanding of:
